Spotlight on Vinto Mixo Boutique

share this:

Vinto Mixo boutique opened in the East Village in April.

EverythingLongBeach recently spoke with Ed, Owner of Vinto Mixo boutique, via email. They talked about inspirations, challenges and what’s it’s like having a business in East village.

Vinto Mixo opened last month, April 4, 2014. Tell us a bit about the boutique.

We sell a mix of vintage and new cloths all high end . We also carry vegan soaps made in the back wood of the pocono mountains we are the soul providers of that soap we also carry antiques jewelry purses scarfs hand made bags.

Why did you start Vinto Mixo boutique?

We wanted to open a store that no one has and you will never find one like us. We were walking through NY fashion district and came up with the idea that you can get new and vintage women’s apparel in one spot.

What makes Vinto Mixo boutique stand out?

We have what no one else does — those hard to find pieces that stand out. We’re originally from the East Coast so we wanted to bring some of the East Coast NY summer style to the West.

What is your favorite part of running this store?

No one to tell me “no” and meeting all the new people in this awesome town. After opening, we have been welcomed by so many people and made so many new friends that will last a life time

What are the biggest challenges you face?

Our store is off the main strip so we’re always trying to do something new to attract people and make a name for our shops at 3rd and Elm.

What is the best advice that you received and who did it come from?

Do as much marketing you can get out there in peoples faces let your voice be heard
And it came from the owner of Proverse next store to us his name is Barry he has been an amazing help to us

One Last Thing:

Special thanks to all of the shops at 3rd and elm for their support and and kind words that have helped us.
