Summer Adventures at Rancho Los Cerritos with Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine

Children will learn all about life in Old California through historic crafts, hands-on activities, games and stories through weeklong Summer Adventures at the gorgeous preserved adobe estate of Rancho Los Cerritos. Historically themed programming will focus on daily life at the rancho where participants will learn the tasks of the past, including how to churn butter, dip candles, punch tin, tool leather, stomp adobe, wash clothes by hand, make a cornhusk doll, and more!
The camps will take place in three separate sessions throughout the summer.
Session I: Vaquero Adventures – July 19 to July 23
Session II: Adobe Adventures – July 26 to July 30
Session III: Old Time Adventures – August 2 to August 6
These Summer Adventure experiences are for children entering 1st to 5th grade in the Fall. Each session is $90 and take place Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm. Advanced reservation is required, so please call (562) 570-1755 to sign up.
