Super Mex and LB Police Foundation Fundraiser to Support LBPD’s Baker to Vegas Team

Super Mex Traveling Truck will be located on Chestnut Avenue between the Long Beach Police Department and Long Beach City Hall on Super Tuesday, November 6 – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the 2013 Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay Team, the event flyer is located on the LBPF website.

The Annual Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay takes place on Saturday, April 13 to Sunday, April 14, 2013. This 120-mile relay race spans from Baker, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada, involving over 5,000 sworn and military personnel, and over 20,000 volunteers from throughout the U.S. In 2012 the Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) relay team placed third in their category and 15TH overall – finishing 33rd overall in 2011.

LBPD maintains a high standard of service to our community. Officers place a tremendous emphasis on fitness and training to help them better perform their duties. In addition the original ideals of the Baker to Vegas Relay race continue: teamwork, camaraderie, physical fitness and competition.
