Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to discuss ways to save money, as well as clean up bad credit reports.

“We need all the help we can get when it comes to money. I am trying to do what I can to help everyone by bringing financial information to the community. If you don’t have a plan then you have planned to fail,” said Andrews.

“Financial literacy is important regardless of the economic times. It provides the foundation to build wealth and establish full participation in the economy,” added Rainy. “The Long Beach Branch NAACP joins Councilmember Dee Andrews in the effort to increase minority wealth by expanding access to financial education and services.”
