The Long Beach Chorale, one of Long Beach’s most respected musical organizations, encourages talented singers to audition for its 2015-16 season!
Auditions will be held by appointment during the month of August; rehearsals take place on Monday nights in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. Prospective members are invited to contact the chorus by calling (562) 427-1931 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org for information or to schedule an audition. Singers in all voice parts are welcomed; the ability to read music is required. Auditions are brief, informal, and non-threatening.
Led by Artistic Director Eliza Rubenstein and Pianist/Assistant Director Beth Syverson, and comprising more than 50 talented amateurs of all ages and backgrounds, the Long Beach Chorale has consistently earned high praise and rave reviews for its performances of a wide variety of repertoire. Jim Ruggirello of the Grunion Gazette has called the ensemble Long Beach’s “best local chorus,” and wrote recently that “Long Beach music lovers should be packing the house for the Long Beach Chorale, whose innovative programming, musical excellence and gorgeous sound continue to enchant their devoted followers.”
The 2015-16 season will include music by Bach and a performance of Kirke Mechem’s stunning Songs of the Slave, among other events.
The Long Beach Chorale auditions will be held on August 2015, by appointment. For additional info call (562) 427-1931, email email@example.com, or visit www.longbeachchorale.org.
