Quench Your Thirst Along The Shoreline at The “Taste of Brews”

“Taste of Brews,” Southern California’s premier beer-tasting festival, A 2011 Long Beach Sea Festival event, “Taste of Brews” features dozens of local, regional, national and international craft and micro-breweries offering samples of a wide variety of beers, including pilsners, ales, lagers, bocks, seasonal and specialty brews.  Southern California’s premier beer-tasting festival, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Lighthouse Park.

Brewers from 12 states and eight countries – including France, England, Brazil and Tibet – will be participating.

In addition, a variety of local restaurants and gastropubs will be offering samples of their cuisine. And, after the beer tasting, there will be a “cool-down” period from 4-5 p.m. that includes water, food and live music. Event proceeds will benefit the Long Beach Marine Institute.

“Taste of Brews,”  beer-tasting festival, will be held from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Lighthouse Park (ShoreLine Aquatic Park).

Three separate ticket packages are available:
General Admission ($40), includes 1 p.m. entry, beer tasting, food snacks, free water, musical entertainment and a free souvenir mug with the Taste of Brews logo;

VIP ($50), includes noon entry and the same amenities as general admission plus the Belgian private lounge with hospitality, special beers to taste, brewmaster demonstrations and discussions and private restroom facilities;

Designated Driver ($15), available at the door, which includes water, food and entertainment, but no beer. Designated drivers must accompany a paid attendee.
