Taste of Downtown lures local foodies to the Waterfront

Tantalize your taste buds with delicious eats from some of Downtown’s most popular restaurants as the Taste of Downtown returns with an evening of food and live music under the stars.
The Downtown Long Beach Associates will present the first Taste of Downtown at the Waterfront on Wednesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 25 from 6-9PM featuring delicious cuisine from 12 Downtown restaurants it was announced today by President and Chief Executive Officer, Kraig Kojian.
Located at the waterfront amphitheater commonly referred to as the ‘Nautical Shell’ between Gladstone’s and P.F. Chang’s restaurants, the Taste of Downtown will offer residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy sample-sized servings of signature dishes from some of their favorite Downtown restaurants.
Taste of Downtown at the Waterfront participants include: Aladdin Grill and Café, Auld Dubliner, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Buono’s, Fuego, Gladstone’s, Kavikas, Mai Tai Bar, Outback Steakhouse, Parkers’ Lighthouse, P.F. Chang’s and Stefano’s Pizza and Pasta. In addition to delicious food, a full cash bar will be available for purchasing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, courtesy of Gladstone’s.
“Taste of Downtown is an excellent opportunity for consumers to sample dishes from their favorite restaurants and to try something new,” said Kojian. “Downtown is full of choices when it comes to dining and this event really showcases the diversity and quality of the overall experience.”
Tickets will be sold at the event for $1 each (or 12 for $10 or 24 for $20). Each restaurant will redeem tickets in exchange for a serving of their signature dish(es). Taste of Downtown attendees will have the chance to sample and savor some of Downtown’s best cuisine. Those who purchase a pack of 24 tickets will receive a complimentary ticket to visit the Aquarium any day until the end of the year.
On Wednesday, The Saps will perform live followed on Thursday by George Fryer & the Combo.

Ninety minutes of free parking will be available at the Pike and Aquarium of the Pacific structures. Present your parking stub at the ticket table at the event for validation.
