postponedThis week’s Taste of Downtown has been postponed due to the high probability of rain in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 & 26. The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) plans to reschedule the event for a date to be determined. All tickets purchased in advance will be honored at the rescheduled East Village event, as well as at the Waterfront (June 13 & 14) and the Pine Avenue (August 22 & 23) Taste of Downtowns.

“We came to the decision to postpone Taste of Downtown East Village in order to ensure our attendees and participating businesses have the best experience possible,” said DLBA Marketing and Special Events Manager Gina Dartt. “As this is an outdoor event, the rain would affect the ambiance as well as the attendance. We want to make sure this event benefits both the attendees and the businesses.”

Taste of Downtown takes place three times a year and features delicious cuisine from Downtown Long Beach’s eclectic neighborhoods, as well as the many diverse international restaurants. At these events, residents and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy sample sized servings of signature dishes from some of their favorite Downtown eateries in a unique outdoor setting. The next Taste of Downtown is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, June 13 & 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on the Pine Avenue Pier at Rainbow Harbor. Tickets will be available for purchase at www.downtownlongbeach.org in early May.
