Tantalize your taste buds with delicious eats from some of Downtown’s most popular restaurants as the Taste of Downtown returns to the waterfront with two evenings of food and live music under the stars. Produced by the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA), the Taste of Downtown will take place on the Pine Avenue Pier at Rainbow Harbor on June 13 and 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. each night, featuring delicious cuisine from more than a dozen Downtown restaurants.

The popular Taste of Downtown series, which the DLBA presents three times each year, offers residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy sample-sized servings of signature dishes from some of their favorite Downtown restaurants in an unique outdoor setting.

Participants at this year’s waterfront event include: Auld Dubliner, Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria, Cold Stone Creamery, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Fresh Kabobs, Gladstone’s, Kabob Curry, Kavikas Grill and Bar, PF Chang’s, Pinkberry, Reef Restaurant, S.I.P. Lounge, The Sky Room and more.

“Taste of Downtown is an excellent opportunity for regular and new visitors alike to sample dishes from their favorite restaurants and to try something new,” said Michelle Manire, Chairperson of DLBA’s Marketing and Special Events Task Force. “Downtown is full of dining choices and this event really showcases the diversity and quality of the overall experience.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.downtownlongbeach.org or at the event for $1 each (or 12 for $10 and 24 for $20). Each restaurant will redeem tickets in exchange for a serving of their signature dish(es), offering attendees the chance to sample and savor some of Downtown’s best cuisine.

Copycats and Urban Dread, will be playing live music on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, filling Rainbow Harbor with music as guests feast under the stars.
