Residents Join Together for an Evening of History, and Conversation at the Annual E. 7th St. Birthday Party
2011-11-21 · By Editor
The collective neighborhoods of Craftsman Village, North Alamitos Beach and Rose Park along with their E. 7th St. retailers will once again celebrate shared history Tuesday, November 29th at Rivera’s Mexican Restaurant. A 1.5 mile square area that includes these neighborhoods was annexed to the City of Long Beach on November 29, 1909. Making the area 102 years old!
Residents are invited to join in celebration at Rivera’s 2901 E. 7th St., Long Beach, 90804 from 7pm-9pm for a look-back at what’s been accomplished this year and plans for next year. There will be a display of the major intersections along E. 7th and what can be done to improve them, as well as an update of the E. 7th St. History Project.
Residents of Rose Park; Craftsman Village and North Alamitos Beach, E. 7th St. retailers, and those who have left E. 7th St. but still hold fond memories are encouraged to attend. There is a $10 buffet for those who’d like dinner (alcoholic beverages extra). This year’s birthday party is sponsored by Anderson Real Estate Group – a long time supporter of E. 7th St. projects.
