The Infinite Yoga and Sacred Movement to Celebrate Grand Opening and Honor Yogi Master, August 26
2010-08-23 · By Editor
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, August 26, 2020 at The Infinite located at 517 Pine Ave. in Long Beach, CA, chanting of the Adi Shaki Mantra will commence and resume for 2 ½ hours. This mantra initiates the flow of Kundalini energy within, and helps connect with the Infinite flow of Life. Yogi Bhajan brought the sacred science of Kundalini to the west, and is the foundation yoga discipline on which The Infinite has been built. The Infinite chose to honor their master during a Grand Opening celebration in recognition of his contribution to their accomplishments.
Opening on the heals of the recent successful Shakti Shala Yoga and Healing Arts Festival that took place just last week, The Infinite Yoga and Sacred Movement Studio has received an outpouring of support from the community. Dharma Shakti and Yogalution helped to raise $1000 for the studio and demonstrated a wonderful example of conscious community sprouting and blooming in Long Beach.
Dana Robinson, Director of Multicultural Programs for The Infinite and President of AXÉ LA Cultural Center expressed her gratitude for all the community support The Infinite has received, “Our most major milestone in my humble opinion is being open for business,” Robinson said. “We would not be able to open so quickly without all of the community support and volunteers. I am in awe and complete gratitude for our Long Beach Community. The Infinite is a hub for creating conscious community. I’m proud of our city, and celebrate everyone that is creating The Infinite.”
A complete schedule of classes is now available on the Infinite and Sacred Yoga Studio website.
The Infinite and Sacred Yoga Studio is now OPEN for business!
About The Infinite:
Through Yoga, Movement, and Whole Life Care, The Infinite, will encourage members to listen to, care for and respect the wisdom of their own bodies. The Infinite will also facilitate the exchange of community resources and knowledge through hosting a variety of workshops, establishing the center as meeting grounds for local organizations that promote wellness and personal growth, and building an expansive network database of local providers, artists, and volunteers who share these values.
The Infinite is a manifestation of AXÉ LA Cultural Center (AXÉ LA), a 501(c) 3 charitable non-profit organization whose three board members represent the leadership and principals behind this new Kundalini yoga-based community movement. A primary component of AXÉ LA’s mission is to offer yoga to communities that have disparities in the number of people practicing yoga due to low-income or lack of accessibility. The Infinite is the first of five yoga studios/cultural centers in Los Angeles County that has been selected to fulfill the mission and vision of AXÉ LA, and the donation-based format is a key factor in the organizational structure.
