Tickets Available Now For Downtown’s New Year’s Eve Celebration

Tickets went on sale Saturday, December 1, for the Downtown Long Beach Associates’ (DLBA) massive New Year’s Eve celebration taking place on Pine Avenue and Broadway. Kicking off at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012, the high-energy street party will encompass two-square blocks and feature live music by acclaimed DJ Bizzy, local Long Beach Funk Band OO Soul, AC/DC Cover Band TNT, and headliner The Spazmatics, the Ultimate New Wave ‘80s Show.
Advance tickets are $15 each, with a limited special discount packages that include VIP parking and two tickets available for $32. Advanced tickets and VIP parking packages can be purchased online at www.downtownlongbeach.org, starting December 1, through Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the event for $20 each.
The Spazmatics send audiences back to the ‘80s with geeky charm and a repertoire that is complete with “nerdography” and “spaztic” movements. They add a unique dimension to their performance, demonstrating the common ties between ‘80s new wave and today’s popular music. At midnight, a festive Downtown Long Beach Countdown, hosted by Amp Radio’s McCabe, will bring in the New Year.
Seven outdoor bar areas will serve up a variety of spirits, allowing guests to enjoy food and beverages throughout the venue without missing a minute of live music.
The DLBA’s New Year’s Eve celebration is Monday, December 31, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Pine Avenue, located at intersection of Pine Avenue & Broadway Avenue.
Cost: Advanced tickets are $15 each, and a limited number of $32 packages that include two tickets and a VIP parking pass are available online at www.downtownlongbeach.org, until December 30 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the gate.
The DLBA has partnered with Long Beach Transit to sponsor free transportation from 5 p.m. until 2:30 a.m.
