grand-prixe-parkingThe Long Beach Redevelopment Agency’s (RDA) Parking Operations Division has announced free bike valet services, online parking reservations, and auto valet parking services over Grand Prix weekend. This trio of services is designed to make attending the Grand Prix more convenient, while also promoting the use of public transit and bicycle transportation.

An online parking reservation system is now accepting parking reservations for Grand Prix customers. Parking lots with convenient access to race activities will be offered, and rates online are the same as rates that will be charged on race day. Visitors who purchase their parking space online will be guaranteed a space in the lot selected, regardless of the time of their visit.

“By making an online parking reservation, visitors coming to the Grand Prix can avoid the hassle of driving around in search of parking,” said Craig Beck, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency. “With their parking space already reserved, they can just focus on getting here, having a good time, and enjoying all that Long Beach has to offer.”

Customers will have their bikes parked in a secure, worry-free location convenient to race activities. Free Valet Parking services will be available from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

The RDA’s parking operations division will also offer Valet Parking for $12.00 on Thursday-Saturday at Pine/Shoreline Drive and at Shoreline Village, from 6:00 pm – 2:00 am.
