Mayor-Elect Robert Garcia has launched a transition website at The website provides links to apply for jobs in the mayor’s office, apply for mayoral internships, and inquire about city commission appointments. It also provides residents an opportunity to share their vision and ideas with Mayor-Elect Garcia and the transition team.

“I am committed to hiring a talented and innovative team to work in the mayor’s office and to recruit highly qualified commissioners who love our city,” said Mayor-Elect Garcia. “I encourage anyone who is interested to visit the website and inquire about our jobs, fellowships, and commissions.”

Mayor-Elect Garcia is also launching a mayoral fellowship program for college students at Cal State Long Beach, Long Beach City College, and other local universities. The transition team, led by Long Beach City College Trustee and Attorney Doug Otto has already begun meeting to discuss the Mayor-Elect’s priorities, including technology, economic development, education, and open government.
