U.S. Air Force Concert Band of the Golden West Performs Free Concert at Carpenter Performing Arts Center

The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West Concert Band is soaring into Long Beach for a FREE concert at Carpenter Performing Arts Center on the campus of Cal State Long Beach on Monday, May 6, 2013. Tickets are required, as the theatre is expected to be completely full.
Led by Commander and Conductor, Captain Jason Plosch, this acclaimed 40-piece ensemble from Travis Air Force Base is an elite group of professional airman musicians guaranteed to entertain audiences of all ages. The Concert Band is the flagship of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West and has performed for millions of listeners and inspired enthusiastic critical acclaim as one of America’s premier musical organizations. The television and radio broadcasts of the Band’s highly coveted recordings have extended the visibility of the Band of the Golden West to national and, increasingly, international levels.
Touring the western states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada, the band travels thousands of miles every year entertaining audiences at numerous events. Comfortable performing a wide variety of music from orchestral transcription to jazz and pop arrangements, complete with featured vocalists and instrumental soloists, the Band of the Golden West’s program is sure to offer something for everyone.
