Val Lerch will kick off write-in campaign with party at El Ranchito

Vice Mayor Val Lerch and the Committee to Write-in Val Lerch for City Council 2010 invite 9th District residents to a campaign kickoff and fundraiser 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. tonight, Monday, August 3 at El Ranchito Restaurant in North Long Beach.

Val Lerch, who is termed out under the Long Beach charter, decided to seek a third term as a write-in candidate for the 9th District City Council seat. According to his website,

There are projects we have started that need to be seen through to their completion.

There are five projects that I am particularly interested in helping the community complete, they are: Fire Station 12, restaurant row at Artesia and Atlantic, North Village, the new North Long Beach library, and the grocery store at Orange and Artesia.

North Long Beach has worked hard to get these projects off the ground. It would be a shame to elect someone with different priorities for our community.
