vayden-roi-galleries Sacred Yoga & Movement StudioVayden Roi Galleries and the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) proudly welcome The Infinite – Sacred Yoga & Movement Studio to the Downtown Long Beach business community.  The new business recently signed a two year lease at 517 N Pine Avenue, and is scheduled to be open to the public in late August.  The transformation of the 517 N Pine location fulfills the mission of the DLBA “Gallery Activation Project”; to bring life and good living to Pine Avenue.

Vayden Roi Galleries, headed by Evan Kelly & Liza Mitchell, partnered with the DLBA to bring enrichment to the Pine Avenue corridor by activating vacant commercial spaces.  The first location was an abandoned hookah lounge at 517 N Pine Avenue.  After weeks of cleaning and painting, the location was reopened as Exhibit [A], a temporary gallery and event venue. Since January of 2010 Exhibit [A] has hosted a variety of arts & entertainment events that bring together the residents and arts community.  At one of these events, celebrating a Haitian Relief fundraiser, the future tenants visited the site and realized it was the perfect location.  The lease was signed shortly thereafter.

Due to the success of the program, Vayden Roi Galleries has opened a second location at 555 N Pine Avenue, and will continue curating exhibitions for the Infinite – Sacred Yoga & Movement Studio at 517 N Pine Avenue.  Any property owners interested in participating in Gallery Activation Program should contact:

Liza Mitchell: (310) 489-8998

Evan Kelly: (562) 822-6071

or Kris Larson from the DLBA: (562) 436-4259

Please join Vayden Roi Galleries this Thursday, May 27th at 7pm, for the last event as Exhibit [A]: the Psychedelic Ping Pong Party.  The same evening, Evolver Spore will be hosting an event at 555 N Pine; The Local Resilience Revolution.  We hope you will join us.
