recycle ewaste collection drive 2nd districtVice Mayor Suja Lowenthal invites you to the Second District E-Waste Drive Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Broadway Parking Lot (Northeast corner of Broadway & Long Beach Boulevard).

Get rid of all your broken or unwanted electronic equipment after the holidays in a fast, convenient way that helps those most in need. We’ll unload your e-waste for you and get you back on the road in minutes.

E-waste includes computer monitors, towers and peripherals, TVs and big screens, DVD players, electronics, cell phones, and digital/LCD clocks.

Sorry, we cannot accept industrial or large scale e-waste or household hazardous waste, fluorescent tubes or batteries.

The Second District E-Waste Drive is Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Broadway Parking Lot (Northeast corner of Broadway & Long Beach Boulevard), from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

The event is being held In partnership with Goodwill Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County.

The E-waste Drive will also feature Goodwill’s Shred-4-Good ® a safe and secure way to get rid of your confidential documents. First Box Free – $5 Each Additional Box

Proceeds go directly to Goodwill’s employment programs and skills development training for individuals with barriers to employment.

All cell phones will be donated to Interval House Crisis Center to help battered spouses and children successfully transition out of abusive homes.
