val-lerchVice Mayor Val Lerch, 9th District Council Member, will appear on Swoop’s World Radio Wednesday night at 9 P.M. Mr. Lerch will be the second City Council Member to visit the relatively new Long Beach Radio broadcast, following Council Member Tonia Reyes Uranga who appeared on December 30th.

Vice Mayor Lerch is expected to discuss a variety of topics related to the 9th District as well as all of Long Beach including Mayor Foster’s recent State of The City Address.

“Interviewing the Vice Mayor is another step towards our goal of keeping the citizens of Long Beach informed and our leaders accessible. It’s fantastic that members of our city council are willing to come on our show, answer our questions, and listeners calls and questions as well,” said co-host Peter Dopulos.

“We’ve been extremely happy with the response our show has been receiving and the guests we have been able schedule. Each of our guests have been Long Beach locals doing cool things here. We especially appreciate City Council members coming on and speaking directly with constituents. That allows all of us to actually have a voice and have our voices heard by our city leaders. Our goal of spotlighting individuals, businesses and events and providing the residents with a place to learn a little something new about this great city is what Swoop’s World is all about,” said talk show host Swoop.

Vice Mayor Lerch has served on numerous committees and organizations throughout the years including North Long Beach Redevelopment Project Area Committee (Vice-Chair), North Long Beach Neighborhood Association Deforest Park Chapter (Vice-President), North Long Beach Business Association (Board Member), and many more.

Listeners will have the opportunity to call in live (917) 889-7449 or join via the live Internet chat.
