Volunteers needed for East 7th Street Corridor Community Clean Up

Volunteers are needed for a Community Clean Up hosted by Councilmember Suja Lowenthal on Saturday, March 22 from 9:00am to 12:00pm along the East Seventh Street corridor. Activities will include mulching 125 newly planted trees, litter pick up, chalk stenciling with youth at transit stops, small business meet & greet teams and Go Long Beach reporting crews. The East 7th Street Corridor Community Clean Up is being hosted by Councilmember Suja Lowenthal and partners: Neighborhood Services Bureau, East 7th Street Collaborative, Craftsman Village Historic District, North Alamitos Beach Association, Rose Park Neighborhood Association and Rose Park Community Watch.
Volunteers will meet at 9:00 am in the Big Saver Parking Lot, 2300 East Seventh Street, Long Beach, 90804. After meeting in the Big Saver lot, activities will occur all along the corridor between Alamitos and Redondo Avenues.
FREE coffee will be provided by Starbucks.
Two dumpsters will be available for FREE dumping of large items. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Residents are encouraged to bring a broom & rake.
