2014-08-11 · By Editor
Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine and the Long Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau are teaming up for the fifth year in a row to offer www.100daysofsummer.org, a searchable calendar of free concerts & movies, Long Beach Sea Festival events, El Dorado Nature Center & historic site events, and ideas for spontaneous fun like hiking, biking, golf, tennis, swimming, and youth and teen programs. Here’s what’s coming up:
Movies in the Park – sponsored by Signal Hill Petroleum – “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.”
The movie and popcorn are free, and the time spent with family is priceless! Bring a lawn chair, blanket, and picnic-style dinner. Movie begins at dusk. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his machine that turned water into food, but learns that his invention survived and is now combining food and animals to create “foodimals!”
