The World War II War Brides Association will be holding its annual reunion aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA, November 3-7, 2015.

They will also be celebrating 70 years since the end of WWII and the transportation on the Queen Mary of more than 22,000 war brides and their children to the US and Canada. Known as the “Bride and Baby Voyages” the Queen Mary made 13 voyages for this purpose in 1946. Several of our members attending this reunion were passengers on board the Queen Mary during these voyages. There will be a reception dinner, hospitality room, meetings, tours, sing-a-long, banquet on the last evening and a farewell breakfast.

These reunions are held in different parts of the US every year. Next year’s reunion will be in Philadelphia, PA.

World War II War Brides Association members are foreign-born wives and husbands of U.S. military personnel who married during the WWII era and during subsequent wars. Included in the membership are some immediate members of the war brides/grooms. Our current membership came from 18 different countries, most arriving in the US from 1944 to the mid-1950’s.
