Fun-gineering, Mix-ups & More!
Love to build, design, and fix things? Put on your engineer’s hat to see how science is used to build skyscrapers, bridges, and tunnels. Use simple machines to help lift weights and launch marshmallows. Learn about chemical reactions, how a camera works, and see how film captures light to store images. Fun-gineering camp is for children ages 5 to 12 years old, $310 per student with a $40 materials fee. Camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a supervised 30-minute lunch. Parents provide lunch. Before and after care is available at no charge (one hour before camp and one hour after). Fun-gineering Camp will take place Monday to Friday, April 9 to 13, at Heartwell Park.
Spring Break Skateboard and Scooter Camp
Whether you’re just learning to skate or ready to learn advanced tricks, this camp is right for you! Make new friends, advance your skills, and most importantly, have fun in our private skate park. Participants who sign up for all five days will receive a Skatedogs T-shirt. Requirements include signing a Skatedog waiver form, your own skateboard or scooter, kneepads, elbow pads, and a helmet. Spring Break Skate Camp will take place 1 to 4 p.m., April 9 to 13, at Heartwell Park.
