hire-a-youthYouth ages 16 – 24 who reside in Long Beach, Lomita, Signal Hill, and Torrance can get free information on training, careers, employment search, and education — whether high school or college — at the free Youth Info Expo on September 30, 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Hire-A-Youth Center, 2311 South Street, Long Beach.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for both in-school and out-of-school youth,” said Rick Gonzalez, Youth Opportunity Center Program Manager. “Students who need assistance to finish high school; students who would like assistance in how to go to college or learn more about their potential career; youth who are out of school and want to finish their degree or get their GED – they can all benefit by attending this no-cost Expo.”

Youth will learn about employment programs and opportunities, and receive help in getting training for the career they want. Information on specific occupational skills training/certifications will be available. Leadership development and mentoring opportunities will be available.

Spanish language translators will be available.

The Youth Info Expo is presented by the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network’s Youth Opportunity Center. For more information, visit www.hireayouth.com or call 562.570.4700.
