Youth Opportunity Fair on Thursday Connects More Than 50 Employers With Interns

Youth ages 14 – 24 can meet with more than 50 employers and agencies at the 5th Annual Youth Opportunities Fair, Thursday, May 28, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach.
The Fair, sponsored by the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network’s Youth Opportunity Center, connects youth directly to exciting employment, internship, and volunteer opportunities now available. Last year, more than 1,700 youth attended.
Pre-registration is encouraged. To pre-register, simply go to www.HireAYouth.com, download a registration form, fill it out, and bring it with you to the fair. It will be your ticket to get in. Forms can also be picked up at the Youth Opportunity Center, 3447 Atlantic Ave. 2nd floor, Long Beach. Registration will also be available on Thursday at the Convention Center.

Come prepared: Bring a pen and notepad, multiple copies of your resume, have a list of references – names and phone numbers, and dress for success. Parking is free. Bus service is available; go to www.lbtransit.com to figure out which bus to take.
