Free job-training program gets youth ready to work

If you are between the ages of 16-24, motivated to learn the skills necessary to get employed, and live in Lomita, Long Beach, , or Torrance, you will want to take advantage of free training that will get you ready for the world of work and help you earn a nationally recognized work credential that will provide an edge in job interviews.

The free 25-hour job is offered by the ’s . There are no income requirements for this training.  A new class begins on February 22, at the .

During the ready-to-work training, participants will develop communication, interpersonal, decision-making and other workplace skills; and get an edge on employment, internship and job shadow opportunities by earning a nationally recognized work-readiness credential.
