The Long Beach Zen Meditation Group hosts Zen and The Art of Living Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Neighborhood United Methodist Church. Zen master Charles Tenshin Fletcher, Roshi is abbot of the Yokoji Zen Mountain Center and the inspiration for the Long Beach Zen Meditation Group. This is a unique occasion to listen and interact with an established and respected Zen master. Tenshin, Roshi does prefer Q&A sessions over lectures. He will be happy to answer all your questions related to Zen, meditation, enlightenment, Buddhism and their significance in our modern society.
Refreshments will be offered prior to the talk. Also before the talk is a meditation period starting from 6:30 pm. Instruction will be provided for those who meditate for the first time. This event is free, donations are highly appreciated.

The Long Beach Zen Meditation Group (LBZMG) is a rapidly growing meditation group, affiliated with the Yokoji-Mountain Zen Center in the San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild, Ca. LBZMG provides a welcoming and supportive environment for the teaching and training of zen practice . The group welcomes everybody to their regular meetings on Thursday evening: 7:00pm- 8.30pm and Saturday morning 9:00am-11.30 am at the Neighborhood United Methodist Church, 507 Pacific Avenue, Long Beach, Ca 90802.
The group intends to expand the Zazen sessions and evolve in a full metropolitan Zen Center.
